To qualify for participation on a Cleveland High School (CHS) athletic team, an individual must: Live in the Portland Public School District (PPSD) Reside within the attendance boundaries of CHS or, according to PPSD guidelines, be accepted as a transfer student to CHS Have passed five subjects the previous semester (only one of which may be earned during the summer or in a private alternative program) Pass five subjects within each grading period during the season his/her sport competes (only one of which may be earned in a private alternative program) Adhere to attendance requirements
